DANIELE ANTEZZA / RESIDENCY

STRATA is a project conceived by Daniele Antezza (Dadub/Inner8) for Noisecapes, whose aim will be the creation of an Album and a Live act during the artistic residency in the suggestive location of Matera.
Residency.
Inspired by iterative processes of rock sedimentation, STRATA will be articulated through intensive sessions of electro-acoustic improvisation and field recordings captured in the unique natural scenarios of Matera, where the musicians Angelo Manicone (wind instruments) and Tommaso Di Marzio (percussions) will plunge into the electronic textures created by Daniele Antezza, supported by the young sound designer Gianmaria dell’Aera.
Output.
During each day of the residency, the above mentioned artists will give life to a sonic output which will be manipulated by an intricate process of sound design. By following iteration logics, such output will provide the sonic stratum that will serve as base for the further improvisation sessions, with the aim of creating sonic textures which will sediment themselves across the days of the project.
The whole path of experimentation will be live recorded, in order to generate the sonic material which will be used to produce a Music Album and a Live Performance.
DANIELE ANTEZZA (Dadub/Inner8).
Daniele Antezza (aka Inner8) is a multi-faceted electronic music producer, member of Dadub duo, Mastering Engineer at Dadub Mastering Studio and Holotone Label Manager.
With his ritualistic/ecstatic vision permeated by scientific rigour, his artistic dimension is concerned with a holistic "deconstructive approach" through which "it's possible to reveal the paradoxes behind the status quo and unveil the intrinsic power of alternative languages.
Antezza also takes pride in the ritualistic quality of his live sets; a mobile laboratory of dynamic tension in which his theories manifest as massive physical vibrations, where we can also see / hear / feel just how well Daniele has absorbed the lessons of the dub "sound system" aesthetics.
