ACT 01. WORKSHOP + RESIDENCY
13-16 September 2021.
From 13 to 16 September 2021 Daniele Antezza (Dadub/Inner8) was a guest in residency of the R. Gervasio Auditorium in Matera, housed in the evocative San Francesco hypogeum.
Daniele conceived a project called STRATA Inspired by iterative processes of rock sedimentation. STRATA was articulated through intensive sessions of electro-acoustic improvisation and field recordings captured in the unique natural scenarios of Matera, where the musicians Angelo Manicone (wind instruments) and Tommaso Di Marzio (percussions) was plunge into the electronic textures created by Daniele Antezza, supported by the young sound designer Gianmaria dell’Aera.

26-29 August 2021.
From 26 to 29 August 2021 WARSHADFILM conducted a 16mm cinema workshop. We were guests of the R. Gervasio Auditorium in Matera, housed in the evocative San Francesco hypogeum. During the workshop the students worked by collecting images with Bolex cameras which they then developed in a specially set up darkroom. The final project is a short film that will compete in the main international festivals.

During the workshop days the iconic Nomadica network presented a 16mm program curated by Riccardo Re in collaboration with the Parisian distributor LightCone. NOMADICA is a network for the study, development and diffusion of experimental cinema and visual arts. Nomadica has curated hundreds of events, exhibitions and programs in Italy and abroad, involving young filmmakers, cinema masters, intellectuals and international artists.
